WHAT is the Census?:
The Census is a questionaire/survey that is given to each person in New Zealand to fill out.
WHY do we have a Census?:
So that the government and regional councils, as well as iwi, can gather data about New Zealand and its regions. This data enables changes to be made based upon people's needs and wants. It is used for planning to ensure we all live in a place like "Aftersville."
WHO completes the Census?:
Every person who is in New Zealand at the time of the Census, must complete the form.
WHEN is the Census held?:
Tuesday 8 March 2011 (It happens every five years).
